DescriptionPosition SummaryAdams Leclair is seeking a highly organized, reliable, and self-sufficient Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our attorneys through all phases of high-volume civil litigation matters. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work, is comfortable managing recurring deadlines, and takes pride in producing accurate, timely results.The ideal candidate can independently manage an active caseload with minimal supervision, stay on top of deadlines, and keep files and workflows running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, collegial, and communicative—someone who contributes positively to the firm culture and works well with attorneys, staff, clients, and self-represented parties.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, review, and organize documentation to support litigation mattersConduct conflict checks and open new matters in the firm's case-management systemMaintain accurate, well-organized electronic and physical case filesPrepare and file documents through NYSCEF and other applicable e-filing systems, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlinesAssist with drafting and preparing pleadings and litigation documents, including petitions, summonses and complaints, motions, proposed orders, and notices of entryConduct background research and obtain public records as needed to support case progressCoordinate and track service of process on parties and non-partiesMonitor attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, and scheduled court appearancesCommunicate professionally and courteously with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and pro se litigantsProvide consistent, reliable support to attorneys on routine litigation tasks and workflow managementWork Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:15 PMFull-time position (37.5 hours per week)Includes a 45-minute lunch breakThis is an in-person positionCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $60,000, annually.Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.Comprehensive benefits package401(k) with employer safe harbor contribution.Paid underground parking.Qualifications2–4 years of experience in civil litigation support, with prior work in foreclosure, default services, collections, or similar high-volume practices strongly preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a moderate-to-heavy caseload environmentComfortable handling routine, repetitive, and process-driven tasks with accuracy and attention to detailSelf-directed and dependable; able to work independently without close supervisionPositive, cooperative, and team-oriented mindset—friendly, professional, and easy to work withClear and effective written and verbal communication skillsAssociate's degree or Paralegal Studies certificate preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
