Responsibilities

The Paralegal will be responsible for conducting legal research (e.g., due diligence, case and factual research, patent searches, responding to queries and investigations, preparing summary reports, etc.). Drafting, reviewing and editing legal documents (e.g., contracts, agreements, business communications, etc.). Project management for legal cases, litigation, transactions, etc. Preparing legal forms/templates and legal pleadings (arbitration, litigation, etc.). Developing and maintaining files, databases and systems to collect, store and retrieve data on litigation, etc.

  • Structuring, drafting, negotiating and/or approving legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents.
  • Reviews, responds and performs basic editing of legal documents (e.g., formatting, grammar/spell checking of content, etc.).
  • Prepares written correspondence with outside counsel and other third parties, including responses to complaints.
  • Obtains signatures on legal documents, notarizing documents, etc.
  • Ensure all case files are accurately documented and updated within the case management system.
  • Plans and schedules logistics for meetings and travel, including board of director and shareholder meetings.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Generally, 3-5 bullets and MUST be quantifiable (ie. Degrees, Years of experience, licenses, etc.)

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or 1+ year(s) vocational training / associates degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workload and deadlines Detail-oriented, highly organized, and process-driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
