Talis Group's client is a prominent and growing law firm located in downtown Louisville, KY, recognized for its professional culture and team-oriented environment. They are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy family law practice. This role involves case coordination, document management, client communication, legal research, and trial support. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the litigation process.
- Coordinate case intake, maintain case files, and ensure all required documentation is collected and organized.
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling requirements.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case initiation through resolution.
- Draft correspondence, discovery requests and responses, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- Review records, summarize case materials, and prepare reports for attorney review.
- Conduct factual research and assist with investigations related to pending matters.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, expert meetings, and trial logistics.
- Prepare trial exhibits, witness files, and other materials necessary for court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate billing records and support monthly productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting attorneys in a litigation environment required.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Certification in legal or paralegal studies a plus.
- Previous Family Law experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing legal documents and case records.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Professional demeanor with a strong client-service orientation.
