Description

The Paralegal Manager will lead and oversee legal operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency in supporting legal processes by leading a team of 3+ paralegals. This is a player/coach role, so this person will also support transactional legal work. A candidate should have 7+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal and experience managing people.

Description

  • Manage and mentor a team of paralegals, ensuring their professional development and productivity.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Prepare and revise entity formation and governance documents, including operating agreements, limited partnership agreements, formation certificates, incumbency certificates, written consents, resolutions, amendments, and other corporate documents, based on transaction requirements and direction from leadership.
  • Review title, survey, and title commitments and coordinate and prepare responses to title and survey comments from counterparties.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance across operations.
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline legal tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Support attorneys in case preparation and legal research as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of all legal activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for external legal partners and stakeholders.

Profile

A successful Paralegal Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of commercial real estate or corporate paralegal experience.
  • Experience managing a team of paralegals or similar professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
