We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our client's team. In this role, you will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation—from pre-claim investigation through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and has a deep understanding of litigation procedures and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-claim investigations, perform legal research, and assist with initial case assessmentsDraft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and appellate filings; manage court submissionsMaintain case calendars, track deadlines, and organize case filesManage pleadings and discovery indexes to ensure accuracy and accessibilityPrepare, organize, and maintain exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices for hearings and trialsAssist attorneys with interrogatories, discovery requests, and other case-related tasksGather, verify, and analyze information from various sourcesCoordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and third partiesProvide administrative and tactical support during settlement negotiations and case resolutionRequirementsStrong knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and legal proceduresHighly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-moving environmentExceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detailProficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and standard computer applicationsAssociate degree in Paralegal Studies or relevant paralegal certification requiredDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
