Paralegal - Omaha, NE
Duration: 10+ months, Onsite
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Assist with witness management before, during, and after trials.
- Handle inquiries from witnesses regarding court appearances and reimbursements.
- Coordinate travel and lodging arrangements for witnesses.
- Communicate with attorneys about special circumstances of witnesses.
- Prepare and submit documentation for witness reimbursements.
- Coordinate with courts, investigative agencies, and other counterparts as needed.
- Maintain files, documents, and databases related to witness management.
Required Skills:
- One year of legal training or two years of college education can substitute for a paralegal certificate.
- At least one year of litigation paralegal or project experience required.
- Basic legal knowledge and experience with legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with computer applications.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
Education:
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
