Paralegal - Patent Prosecution - 70057

Our client, a growing law firm with offices in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a general Intellectual Property paralegal to support IP counsel with at least three years’ patent prosecution experience. Paralegals with proven longevity in other areas of practice will be considered.

Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with the filing and prosecution of U. S. patent applications, audit and manage portfolios to ensure patent applications comply with the patent prosecution process, assist with internal review and analyzation of documents, conduct research, monitor deadlines, draft responses to office actions, and provide general administrative support to attorneys.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills; team player

• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe)

• Strong technical skills required; formal technical training is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

• Three years extensive patent prosecution paralegal experience

• Long-term paralegal experience/tenure within a law firm setting

• The ideal candidate must be based in Texas
