A confidential national plaintiffs’ law firm seeks an experienced Plaintiff Mesothelioma/Asbestos Paralegal to join its Philadelphia team. This position supports complex plaintiff litigation on behalf of individuals and families affected by asbestos exposure. Candidates must have plaintiff‑side asbestos/mesothelioma experience or closely aligned plaintiff litigation backgrounds (e.g., toxic torts, product liability, medically intensive personal injury). Defense asbestos paralegals will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation support throughout all phases of plaintiff asbestos/mesothelioma cases, from intake through resolution and trial preparation.
  • Manage and review medical records, diagnostic reports, treatment histories, and other medical evidence relevant to causation and damages.
  • Compile and analyze exposure histories, employment records, and product identification materials to develop factual case foundations.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, organize document productions, and coordinate electronic discovery processes.
  • Assist with deposition preparation and logistics; coordinate witness and expert scheduling and materials.
  • Support trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom logistics.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and their families regarding case status and documentation needs.
  • Coordinate filings, case calendars, court deadlines, and correspondence in a structured litigation environment.
  • Utilize case management, document management, and e‑filing systems to maintain organized and compliant case files.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of plaintiff‑side asbestos/mesothelioma paralegal experience, or at least 2 years of plaintiff litigation experience closely aligned with mesothelioma work (toxic torts, product liability, medical‑heavy PI).
  • Demonstrated litigation support and case management skills, including experience with discovery, deposition preparation, and trial support.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in client and courtroom settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.
  • Familiarity with e‑filing procedures, case/document management systems, and basic litigation support technology.
  • Ability to work onsite with the Philadelphia team and to travel as needed for depositions or court appearances.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity for long‑term stability and professional growth within a nationally resourced plaintiff practice.
