If you're looking to fill an invaluable position at a firm and love helping others, apply today.Responsibilities Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyerArrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process serversHold client interviews to gather information about their legal problemsHelp lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnessesPerform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessibleIndependently manage ongoing case files and deadlinesPrepare and draft legal pleadings, discovery, affidavits, motions, and correspondenceConduct legal research and help prepare attorneys for hearings and trialsCommunicate with clients professionally — in person and by phone/emailSchedule and coordinate client meetings, deposition notices, hearings, etcFile documents with courts and ensure procedural complianceTrack case progress and update attorneys proactivelyMaintain meticulous and organized case filesQualifications Must have great time‑management skills, and organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsMust have completed an ABA‑approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desiredAt least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingCandidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preferenceRequired 3+ years of paralegal experience in family law (required)Demonstrable ability to manage one's own cases independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsConfidence in interacting and meeting with clientsProficiency with legal case management software and MS OfficePreferred ABA‑approved paralegal certificate or bachelor's degreeExperience with civil litigation and court proceduresCompensation $65,000+ yearly depending on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
