Join to apply for the Paralegal (Remote-eligible) role at Vertex PharmaceuticalsJoin to apply for the Paralegal (Remote-eligible) role at Vertex PharmaceuticalsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.General Summary:This position provides intermediate legal and contracting support for assigned functions such as commercial, general, administrative, or clinical.Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:This position provides intermediate legal and contracting support for assigned functions such as commercial, general, administrative, or clinical.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesDraft and review, with minimal Counsel supervision, a range of contracts, including confidentiality agreements, service agreements and other related agreements.Interpret existing contracts and advise on contract interpretation issues, with support from Counsel as needed.Support and provide leadership for ongoing company-wide initiatives, including contracting processes and adoption of contract-related technologies.Maintain global inventory of contract templates, as well as manage and implement requests for new and updated templates across the company.Train and guide legal colleagues and business teams on the use of contract-related technologies, including contract lifecycle management tools.Train and guide business teams on the use of legal routine, non-standard or more complex contract templates, issues and best practices.Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with other legal colleagues and the business.Knowledge And SkillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Ability to prioritize competing projects.Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to work across functions and geographies effectively.Experience with or in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or healthcare industries and/or contract-related systems and technologies (in any industry)Education And ExperienceA Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree or paralegal certificationTypically requires at least 5 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experiencePay Range$79,900 - $119,800Disclosure StatementThe range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
