Paralegal

O’Hagan Meyer is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join its office located in Richmond, VA. The individual in this role must possess a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited and approved paralegal education program. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Civil Litigation and must be familiar with Labor, Employment and Commercial Litigation.

Ideal candidate should have a very strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures, excellent computer skills with knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, and MS Office, including Outlook, and excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and be able to work independently, as well as with the team, with a positive attitude.

Salary range - $65K to $85K per year

• • Document review and preparation of document productions.
  • Trial preparation and support.

  • Preparation of Motions, Supporting Memorandum, and Exhibits.
  • Legal Research.
  • Drafting Interrogatory Responses.
  • Drafting discovery, including Interrogatories and Request for Production.
  • Preparation of subpoenas.
  • E-Discovery.
  • Summarizing medical records and deposition transcripts.
  • Drafting case status reports.
  • Tracking and ensuring timely filing of pleadings with both Federal and State Courts.
  • Calculating and tracking deadlines.
