This role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Global Operations and Litigation, and will be primarily responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day administrative and operational needs of the legal department, with secondary support for a relatively small and manageable litigation and claims portfolio.The position is well-suited for a highly organized paralegal who enjoys building structure, managing workflows, and supporting a lean legal team in a fast‑paced oilfield services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a central resource for legal department administration, including document management, tracking systems, and workflow coordinationMaintain organized contract and matter repositories, ensuring completeness, accessibility, and version controlCoordinate execution of documents, including signature processes and records retentionAssist in preparing internal reports, presentations, and summaries for managementSupport development, implementation, and maintenance of legal templates, processes, and systemsManage departmental calendars, deadlines, and key deliverables across legal workstreamsProvide general administrative support to the legal team, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operationsContract & Matter Tracking SupportAssist in tracking contracts, renewals, and key obligationsHelp manage intake and triage of legal requests from business teamsSupport organization and filing of agreements and related documentationMaintain tracking logs and reporting tools for legal matters and requestsLitigation & Claims SupportSupport the Assistant General Counsel in administering a limited litigation and claims docket, including tracking matters and key deadlinesCoordinate with outside counsel on routine filings, updates, and document requestsAssist with document collection and organization for discovery and claims processesTrack legal spend and assist with invoice processing and budget reportingMaintain records of pleadings, correspondence, and settlement documentationAssist with administration of insurance claims and coordination with insurers and brokersSupport internal fact gathering for incidents, claims, and disputesMaintain organized records of claims, indemnity matters, and related documentationCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with operations, finance, HR, and other business teams to support legal processes and requestsCoordinate with external counsel and service providers as neededProvide practical, business-oriented support aligned with company prioritiesQualificationsBachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred5+ years of relevant experience, including law firm and/or in‑house experiencePrior in‑house experience strongly preferred, ideally within oilfield services, energy, or a similarly industrial environmentStrong organizational skills and experience managing documents, systems, and workflowsComfortable supporting a broad range of legal and administrative activities in a lean teamDiscretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential informationExcellent BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Matching 401(k)Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
