Our team has been recognized for their legal expertise in helping thousands of individuals across the country secure their Social Security disability benefits as well as for their advocacy work which led to the first pro-workers piece of Pennsylvania workers' compensation legislation in more than 30 years.Pond Lehocky Giordano seeks a Paralegal to join our highly successful workers' compensation team. Employee will need to be able to work in a face-paced environment, have a strong ability to multitask, be a team player and have a positive attitude. Most importantly we are looking for someone who will have empathy for our clients and great customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Prepare for all hearings; mediations; fact witness depositions (including preparation of exhibits)Review StipulationsAWW/TTD calculationsReview daily checks (fees, costs)Attend paralegal team meetings via TeamsDraft letters and documentsAnswer calls from adjusters, opposing counsel, clients and healthcare providersHandle daily uploading and obtaining of relevant case information from the Bureau of Workers' Compensation management system, WCAIS or the State equivalent systemEnter attorney appearance via mail and/or WCAISAnswer attorney direct line and monitors email; serving as liaison between attorney and clients by resolving routine and some complex inquiriesPrepare responses to counsel, adjusters, and judgesScan documents into client filesSchedule client appointments and/or telephone conferencesMaintain client's file in case management system, updating information as necessaryOther Responsibilities & Duties may be assigned.Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in a paralegal role required;Minimum of 2 years of New Mexico Workers Compensation experience strongly encouraged;College degree or paralegal certificate preferredExperience with Litify Case Management preferredAbout Us Pond Lehocky succeeds by fully serving injured and disabled workers' needs through our commitment to the practice of workers' compensation, social security disability, employment, and long-term disability law at the highest professional level.
