Remote Paralegal — Civil Rights & Employment Litigation

We’re partnering with a respected Santa Fe–based civil rights and employment law practice to hire a skilled Litigation Paralegal. This is a remote role, but candidates must have meaningful experience with New Mexico legal practice, courts, filings, procedures, or litigation support.
You’ll work directly with a lead attorney known for being both sharp and grounded, contributing to high-impact cases involving civil rights violations, workplace discrimination, and police misconduct.

Schedule

Remote position. Candidates must be able to work effectively with a New Mexico-based practice and have prior New Mexico legal/litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
• Format and cite-check briefs, including appellate filings
• Manage deadlines, organize case files, and handle discovery
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings
• Support trial preparation, including exhibits, jury instructions, and witness materials
• Communicate with courts, experts, clients, and opposing counsel
• Maintain organized, accurate case documentation in a remote work environment

Qualifications

• Prior New Mexico legal or litigation experience required
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience; civil rights or employment law experience a plus
• Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong research, writing, cite-checking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal research databases such as Lexis or Westlaw
• Ability to manage deadlines independently in a remote setting
• Poise, discretion, emotional intelligence, and excellent judgment
