Job Summary and Qualifications The ED Paramedic will collect and convey information to both their team members and the attending Physician regarding the health status of patients. The Hospital Paramedic will perform all duties identified in their job description and validated by competency assessment under the License of the Physician Medical Director. They will report to the Nursing Director of Emergency Services. They will serve as a member of the Healthcare team through active communication; documentation; feedback and assistance as needed or requested. They will collaborate with the RN involved in the care of the patient. The Hospital Paramedic will provide for patient safety. Attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy. Contributes to the growth and development of self and department. Maintains an active involvement. Maintains good working relationship with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and other hospital staff. Maintains competence with charting system What you will do in this role: Assist the ED clinical team with providing top quality patient care as within their scope of practice in the hospital setting Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives Maintains competence in skills and documentation Utilize SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) for effective communication Support and represent the facility's Mission, Vision, and Core Values while performing the role Attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Paramedic, or (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician No Travel Required No experience Required Years of Experience Benefits HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
