Paramedic - Emergency Department (ED) - PRN

Position Summary

• The Paramedic functions as a member of the care team and participates in the care of ill and injured patients.
• Responsibilities include patient care, incorporating stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director.
• The Paramedic functions as part of a team and shares responsibility for the team's conduct.
• The Paramedic fulfills education skill requirements as established by the Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required - or higher.
• Paramedic: Graduate from an approved Paramedic program is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Current certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic is required (NC EMT-P Certification)

Pay Range

• Paramedic hourly range > $21.53 - $31.38
• Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.

The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.
