PositionSummary Provides the highest quality advanced life support care wherever the emergent situation arises. Primary Position Responsibilities 1.Provide 911 MICU coverage of a predetermined, geographic response region. Provide Advanced and Basic Life Support to all life-threatening requests for service. 2.Maintain MICU vehicles, quarters, equipment, and medication inventory as detailed in the Daily Shift Responsibilities form. 3.Complete and distribute Electronic Patient Care Reports and all required documentation necessary for statistics and record keeping. 4.Operate MICU vehicle in emergency and non-emergency situations. Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: â-High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: â-Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Paramedic Science Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: â-Minimum of 1 year as EMT in high volume, primary 911 system (High volume system, than 1,000 calls per year) Lead Paramedic: 3+ years of Paramedic experience Preferred: â-2-3 years of Advanced Life Support/Critical Care experience License, Registry or Certification: Required: â-Certification as a State of New Jersey Paramedic (Or New Jersey Licensed RN with current EMT card and minimum of at least 1 year Critical Care experience) â-Advanced Specialized Certification(s): â¬Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) â¬Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) â¬Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) â-Drivers License: Valid Drivers License Preferred: â-Technical Training in Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: â-Excellent emergency care skills â-Ability to work with others as a member of an emergency care team â-Superior communication skills â-Familiar with the routine aspects of the local emergency medical services system Preferred: Hunterdon Health is committed to providing a competitive benefit package to our employees.
