Harrison County Hospital is hiring a full-time Paramedic to deliver rapid, clinically sound pre-hospital care and safe transport for patients across our service area. This role supports timely emergency response and continuity of care from scene to facility.
Key responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, performing advanced emergency medical procedures, administering medications as indicated, coordinating patient transport logistics, and documenting care accurately while working effectively with partners and receiving facilities.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Current American Heart or Red Cross CPR certification
- Indiana Paramedic Certification
- American Heart ACLS and American Heart PALS
- Hazmat Awareness (Hazmat Operations within one year)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong teamwork/communication and ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced conditions
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay: $22.50–$27.00/hour. Apply to be considered for this Paramedic opportunity.

Your 12-hour rotating shift begins with unit and supply checks, a concise handoff, and readiness planning for the day’s coverage. Calls vary from routine transfers to time-sensitive emergencies, requiring steady focus, clear radio updates, and coordinated transitions on arrival. Between runs, you complete thorough charting, restock and reset the unit, and participate in quick debriefs to support consistent care. Nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the rotation, so you’ll balance high-acuity moments with structured downtime while staying prepared for the next dispatch as a Paramedic.
