What You'll Do --------------

Serve as the lead clinician on an ALS Critical Care ground ambulance Perform advanced life support and critical care interventions for interfacility patients Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, triage, treatment, and evaluation during transport Practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy while following established medical protocols Document the full clinical process accurately in the patient care record Supervise and evaluate assigned drivers, ensuring safe transport operations Act as a clinical resource and mentor to team members, sharing expertise and best practices Communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital teams, and external partners Participate in community outreach and education initiatives Uphold and advance the mission, values, and safety standards of Shands Healthcare/Shands

Cair Qualifications -------------------

Required Qualifications Florida-licensed EMT-Paramedic (current and in good standing) BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire Minimum 2 years of pre-hospital Paramedic experience Valid Florida Driver's License Completion of a Florida-approved EVOC driving course

Preferred & Advanced Credentials ITLS or PHTLS (preferred at hire; required within 1 year) CCEMT-P, UFCCP, FP-C, and NRP (preferred; required within 1 year) Experience in critical care transport Instructor status in EMS certifications
