As a Paramedic Patient Care Technician at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in our Emergency Department. Your primary responsibility will be to provide care to our patients, working with them daily to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. Your actions will directly contribute to our patients' well-being and recovery.


No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. To succeed in this role, your genuine compassion for your patient’s well-being is paramount. Understanding your part in helping our patients feel at ease, you also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions, and update documentation, ensuring our patients feel heard and cared for.


Responsibilities:


+ Performs or assists ADLs according to the Patient Plan of Care.

+ Performs or assists in procedures/treatments according to Nursing Policy and Procedure Manual.

+ Maintains a safe environment: follows OSHA requirements including Universal Precautions.

+ Expresses appropriate communication to patients, families, and other customers.

+ Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary for the patient/customer appropriate to neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and/or older adult.

Qualifications


Minimum:


+ AZ CEP (Arizona Certified Emergency Paramedic)

+ American Heart Association Certifications

+ BLS

+ ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within six (6) months of hire

+ PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within six (6) months of hire

+ High School Diploma/ GED


Preferred:


+ Direct patient care experience

+ NREMT-P (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians – Paramedic).

+ NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider)
