Staff in the Respiratory Therapy Department, as an actively participating patient care provider. May take on a full patient assignment working alongside a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Requirements:
+ HS or GED
+ Nationally Registered Paramedic. N.H. state license within 30 days of hire.
+ CPR certified on hire; ACLS/NRP within 30 days
+ Associates or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Responsibilities:
1. Performs as part of the patient care delivery team in the Emergency Department and all Patient Care Areas accepting a full patient assignment
2. Works collaboratively with all other patient care team members with responsibilities to include: 02 therapy, airway management, nebulizer/MDI therapy, assisting with patients on CPAP/BIPAP and High Flow.
3. Performs patient assessments, delivering aerosolized medications according to physician orders.
4. Documents all patient care activities in the patients' electronic medical record.
5. Monitors the medical condition of patients and documents and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
6. Functions as part of the Code/Rapid Response team.
7. Performs other duties as assigned within the Paramedic scope of practice as defined by the State of NH EMS protocols.
