    Description

Paraplanner | Cooper McManus Wealth Management

    Irvine, CA | Full-Time | On-Site

Cooper McManus is an established, flourishing wealth management firm managing over $2.5B in assets for high-net worth individuals, families, and clients navigating complex financial circumstances. We're hiring a Paraplanner to serve as the primary execution and analytical partner to our Senior Wealth Manager: supporting some of the most sophisticated planning work we do.

If you're a natural organizer who gets genuine satisfaction from bringing structure to complexity, this role was written for you.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Prepare client meeting materials using eMoney, Black Diamond, Kwanti, and Riskalyze/Nitrogen — including net worth statements, cash flow analysis, depletion analysis, and planning strategy updates (1031 exchanges, Pledge Asset lines, etc.)
    • Manage preparation and processing of insurance applications, annuity applications, and alternative investment accounts from start to finish
    • Oversee placement and implementation of insurance, annuity, and alternative products — coordinating with sponsors, custodians, carriers, and internal team members
    • Track advisor recommendations and ensure client planning strategies move forward efficiently
    • Conduct research to support advisor decision-making on complex client situations
    • Coordinate client onboarding and document collection
    • Manage client workflows in Salesforce: action plans, client profiles, tasks, and records
    • Translate advisor meeting notes into actionable follow-through, keeping all client work on track
    •  Maintain organized digital client files and ensure strict compliance documentation standards

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor's Degree • 5+ years in wealth management, financial planning, or advisor support
    • 3+ years directly supporting financial advisors in a client-facing or planning capacity
    • Hands-on experience with Life, Disability & LTC Insurance (2+ yrs), Annuities (1+ yr), Alternative Investments (1+ yr)
    • Active Life & Health Insurance License (required)
    • Series 7 preferred, or willingness to obtain
    • Proficiency with Salesforce, eMoney, Black Diamond, and advanced Microsoft Excel •
    • Ownership mindset e.g. you take a problem and you solve it

    WHO THRIVES HERE

This role supports a senior advisor who operates at a high level of complexity and moves fast. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who enjoys creating order, takes initiative without being prompted, and takes pride in meticulous execution. If you've been the person on your team who quietly keeps everything from falling apart: we're looking for you.

    WHY COOPER McMANUS

    • Work alongside experienced, credentialed advisors on sophisticated HNW client engagements
    • Tight-knit, collaborative team culture where your work directly impacts client outcomes
    • Established, growing firm with a strong reputation in the Orange County market
    • Competitive compensation with flexibility for the right candidate
