Job Description

The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District has a part-time K5 Paraprofessional position available for the 2026-2027 school year. The applicant will work 5.75 hours per school day at Eagle Elementary School. The K5 Paraprofessional provides critical classroom assistance, helping our youngest learners navigate their school day in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Supervision:

The K5 Paraprofessional works under the direct supervision of the assigned K5 teacher and collaborates closely with other team members to ensure students' academic and personal success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers during circle time, learning centers, and hands-on activities.
  • Guide students in building independence with daily routines, self-regulation, and classroom expectations.
  • Provide proactive behavioral support and assist with active classroom transitions.
  • Supervise kindergarteners during non-instructional times, including arrival, dismissal, outdoor recess, and lunch.
  • Assist with preparing learning materials, setting up activity stations, and keeping the classroom clean and organized.

Additional Details about the position:

  • Part-time position with 29 Hours per week on school days when students are present.
  • Pay $16.73 / Hour
