CESA 5 and Juneau County Alternative Program (JCAP) are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Alternative Program Paraprofessional to assist our teachers in providing exceptional support and instruction to students. JCAP (Juneau County Alternative Program) is an alternative education program located in Necedah, WI. The building houses a middle/high school, grades 5-12. CESA 5 Alternative Education programs serve as placement options for students who have not found success in their resident districts. Instruction at the programs focuses on each child's emotional, social, and behavioral skill sets while working collaboratively with a student's resident district to maintain academic standing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Support to Students: provide instruction and support to students with behavioral challenges under the direction of the classroom teacher, ensuring that each student receives the individualized support they need to succeed.
- Supervise Student Activities: Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Classroom Assistance: Assist in the overall supervision of the classroom, supporting teachers with instructional tasks and classroom management.
- Prepare Classroom Materials: Create and organize classroom materials, helping to create a positive and efficient learning space.
- Transport Students: Safely transport students to and from home in an agency vehicle, following established guidelines.
