Position: Paraprofessional Reports To: Rob Pelczarski Terms of Employment: 2026-2027 School Year Work Hours: Full School Day Salary: $23.22 - $27.96 an hour In Accordance with the negotiated Paraprofessional Union Contract Educational/Training/Experience/License Required:
Associate's Degree, completion of 48 college credits, or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or related setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administration.
Commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive student population.
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups under the direction of a certified teacher.
Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities.
Support students with academic, organizational, and behavioral needs.
Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment.
Assist with supervision duties (e.g., hallways, lunch, arrival/dismissal) as assigned.
Support students with special needs, including implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Assist with classroom preparation, materials, and organization.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required.
Required Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
Must successfully pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts law.

Boylston Elementary is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Paraprofessional to support teaching and learning across classrooms. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to assist in the delivery of instruction, provide individualized and small group support, and help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Experience working in an elementary school setting.
Familiarity with special education practices and student support strategies.
Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including behavioral and social-emotional support.
