POSITION: Paraprofessional for the Visually Impaired
LOCATION: Districtwide - Services will be provided at multiple school locations based on student need
START DATE: 2026-2027 School Year
SALARY: Paraprofessional salary(Class 1) based on experience and degree. Salary schedule can be found on the district website:

Qualifications:
In order to meet the paraprofessional job qualifications, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Associate Degree or higher
Completion of 60 college credit hours with a âC' or better
Passing test score on the ParaPro or Pathways Assessment & official high school transcript or GED equivalency
Must be able to demonstrate Braille literacy
Braille Certification Course, preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience working with visually-impaired children; preferred
Working knowledge of behavior management procedures; preferred
Knowledge of accommodations for special education students; preferred
Clean Criminal Background, Child Protective Registry Check, and TB test results required prior to employment
