    Job Description

    The School District of Whitefish Bay is looking for two, part-time Paraprofessional IIs (Special Education Paraprofessionals) at Whitefish Bay High School, working 3.5 hours per day with students in 9-12 grade. Ideal candidates are committed to supporting students with a range of needs. There is great joy and satisfaction in this position, helping students access learning in multiple settings. Strong candidates are flexible, student-centered, and interested in developing new skills and knowledge.

    Working under the direction of a Special Education Teacher and reporting to the Principal/Associate Principal, these positions implement strategies and supports, maintain procedures and routines, and assist students in all areas of the school day.

    These are non-benefit-eligible positions. The work schedule for these positions corresponds to the student calendar. These positions work 3.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. One position will work from 8:15-11:45 AM, and the other position will work from 11:45-3:15 PM.

    Prior experience in the field is beneficial, but not required. The successful candidate will have DPI certification as a Special Education Program Aide or have required qualifications to attain certification. The District will cover the initial application costs associated with obtaining the DPI Special Education Program Aide certification.
