Paraprofessional

• Provide individualized and small group support to a middle school student across general education and special education classrooms.
• Assist the student with academic tasks, behavior regulation, organization, and social interaction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and related service providers to implement accommodations and modifications.
• Support the student in transitioning between classes and activities throughout the school day.
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies and help implement the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting is strongly preferred. Previous experience with a variety of data collection methods is preferred. Technological literacy required. Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable
