The Paraprofessional will assist and support a child at home/classroom, be a positive role model, and assist with classwork and homework.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY. 

• Support teachers in delivering instructional lessons and classroom activities.
• Assist students with academic tasks, behavior management, and skill development.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed. Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to teaching staff.
• Reinforce classroom rules and encourage positive behavior.
• Assist with classroom organization, materials, and setup.
• Support students with special needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and support classroom activities.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a school environment.
• Physically able to assist students and move throughout the classroom as needed.
