We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessional to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a preschool-aged child within a structured school environment. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working closely with children and making a meaningful difference in a student’s daily educational experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 classroom support and supervision
Shadow and assist the child throughout the school day
Accompany the child to therapy sessions (physical, occupational, speech)
Respond appropriately to medical situations or emergencies if they arise
Perform paraprofessional duties as directed by the supervisor and program staff
Support the child’s safety, engagement, and overall well-being
Requirements
GED or High School Diploma
Minimum 3–6 months of paraprofessional experience preferred
Training in the use of an Epi-Pen
Willingness and ability to work with medically fragile children
Must be fingerprinted, or willing to be fingerprinted, by the Board of Education (fees paid by candidate)
Mandated Reporter Certification required
Completion of SCR Form
Recent Quantiferon TB Test
Pre-employment Physical Exam
Titer Tests / Proof of Immunization: MMR, TDAP, Varicella
