Paraprofessional - Part-Time - ESY - Short-Term Contract

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking two part-time Paraprofessionals to provide on-on-one, in-person services to Middle School Charter students. This position is a one month summer contract for their ESY program (extended school year).

Paraprofessional Position Details:

• Position 1: Support a 6th-grade student who is bilingual in Spanish and English. A Spanish-speaking paraprofessional is preferred but not required.

• Position 2: Support an 8th-grade student.

• ESY Schedule & Duration:
  • July 6, 2026 – July 23, 2026
  • Monday - Thursday
  • Staff hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Paraprofessional/ Dedicated Aide Qualifications:

• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Experience operating a Hoyer lift

Paraprofessional/ Dedicated Aide Essential Attributes:

• Adapt classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher for the purpose of providing an opportunity for students with disabilities or special needs to participate in classroom activities.
• Implement academic instruction taught by a teacher for individuals or small groups for the purpose of meeting learning goals, as described by an IEP and/or district benchmarks.
• Implement behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions; document progress.
• Participate, as appropriate, in communication between school and home per a student’s IEP.
• Confer with teachers on a regular basis for the purpose of assisting in evaluating the progress of students with disabilities or special needs and/or implementing IEP objectives.
