PARAPROFESSIONAL: PRE-K PROGRAM JobID: 908 Position Type: Support Staff Date Posted: 4/17/2026 Location: Districtwide Date Available: 09/01/2026 Closing Date: 04/27/2026   Additional Information: Show/Hide 10-Month Position JOB GOAL: To promote the achievement of students' educational goals and learning objectives by providing supplemental and clerical services to assist the classroom teacher. Works under the direct supervision and direction of the classroom teacher to assist the student one-to-one in the classroom with all instructional materials and helps the student with needs outside of the classroom, but related to achieving needed skills and requirements for succeeding in school. QUALIFICATIONS: Paraprofessionals must complete at least two years (60 credits) from an accredited college or pass the ParaPro Assessment offered by ETS. Previous experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred. Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices and demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities. Exhibits excellent integrity and demonstrates good moral character and initiative. Displays a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community. Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language. * Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
