Paraprofessional - Special Education - Preschool

Dracut Public Schools is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-time Special Education Paraprofessional within the preschool program at Brookside Elementary School. As a member of our "Community of Caring" and the RULER social and emotional learning community, you will play a vital role in supporting the developmental and educational needs of our youngest learners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to preschool students with special needs in a classroom setting.
• Assist lead teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and specialized instruction.
• Support social and emotional development through the RULER framework.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred. Some assignments may include direct supervision and support of one or more students throughout the school day, personal care support, self-care support, toileting and/or diapering, and any other duties and responsibilities as directed by special education teachers, inclusion specialists, therapists and as assigned by a Principal.
