The Chawanakee Unified School District is located in eastern Madera County and spans approximately 867 square miles, extending from the foothills just 15 minutes from Woodward Park and near Madera Ranchos to the Sierra National Forest. Job Summary
Provide support for students needing transportation from home to school facilities and back, which may include assisting with student loading/unloading, supervision during transitions, and coordination/communication with designated staff consistent with District procedures and assignments. Provides support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting teachers in the supervision, care, instruction, and behavior support of students, including students with specialized needs. Start Date: August 10, 2026 Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 hours/day, split shift 6:30am-9:30am and 2:30pm-5:30pm

Requirements / Qualifications
Completion of 12th grade or equivalent. Education sufficient to read, write and communicate at the level required for successful job performance. Fingerprint clearance and pre-employment physical is required upon offer of employment. Upon hire must submit proof of negative TB and complete CPR/AED/First Aide certification.
