We are hiring highly qualified Instructional Paraprofessionals, Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to step into our classroom instructional pod structure. Operating inside an integrated classroom unit, you will support a lead Special Education Teacher and an on-site Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver intensive academic, behavioral, and functional life skills interventions.
Our instructional pods manage specialized settings for students with high-acuity profiles (Emotional Disturbance, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and Multiple Disabilities), ensuring every child receives dignity and measurable growth.
Core Responsibilities
Instructional Support and Lesson Execution
You will deliver 1:1 or small-group reinforcement of the teacher's lessons using district-approved core materials and specialized modifications, presenting tailored content using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and physical manipulatives under the direction of the instructional lead.
You will guide students through structural work systems and individualized visual schedules (TEACCH framework) to lower transition anxiety.
You will assist students with physical or multiple impairments using adaptive classroom positioning and specialized equipment vetted by physical and occupational therapists.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and De-escalation
You will execute positive reinforcement schedules, token economies, and high-probability request sequences outlined in each student's Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP).
You will handle high-acuity behavioral triggers using trauma-informed, low-arousal de-escalation protocols certified through our Safety-Care curriculum, applying prompt-fading techniques systemically to build student independence and eliminate prompt-dependency.
You will pivot environments proactively during behavioral crises, moving non-involved peers to designated spaces rather than relying on restrictive procedures.
Real-Time Data Collection and Logging
You will record frequency, duration, and baseline trial success rates for targeted behaviors on digital tablets during instructional sessions.
You will track augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device usage logs to ensure functional communication tools cross-over effectively outside the speech suite.
You will input daily task analysis scores tracing a student's self-help compliance and mastery percentages across adaptive domains.
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Community-Based Instruction (CBI)
You will support high-acuity students with foundational self-sufficiency routines, including personal grooming, dressing, and meal participation.
You will accompany students on weekly community-based outings using transit infrastructure to build safety, budgeting, and spatial navigation stamina.
You will partner alongside transition liaisons at community-based work sites to track job-readiness rubrics and apply support-fading protocols as workplace skills solidify.
