The School District of West Salem is seeking qualified individuals who would like the opportunity to become part of our team.

There are regular education and special education positions available that range from 2.25 hours to 8 hours per day positions:

Elementary School

  • Paraprofessional - Part-Time Special Education

4 hours/day - 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

  • Paraprofessional - Full-Time Special Education

7.5 hours/day - 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Middle School

  • Paraprofessional - Part-Time Special Education

5 hours/day - 8:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

  • Paraprofessional - Regular Education/Supervision Para

2.25 hours/day - 10:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

  • Paraprofessional - Part-Time Special Education

5 hours/day - 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

High School

  • Paraprofessional - ID Special Education

8 hours/day - 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

  • Paraprofessional - ID Special Education

8 hours/day - 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

All positions include: paid sick leave, personal days and holidays.

  • Support the learning, daily living skills, behavioral, and safety needs of our students as specified in their IEPs; CPI certification is ideal.
  • Assist teachers in specialized areas regarding the care and safety of students including behavior issues.
  • Provide supervision in classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, indoor recess, library, gymnasium, playground and bus loading areas, van and bus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

School District Employees must have strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and the ability to work well with adults, children of all ages and the public.

  • Shifts are subject to change based upon students'' needs
  • Must be comfortable with the use of technology
