Parent Community Volunteer Liaison

Supervisor: Federal Programs Director/Building Principal

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Employment Term: 2026-2027 school year. This is a one-year position.

The purpose of the project is to build partnerships between parents and educators to ensure that children receive the highest educational opportunities and achievement possible.

Position Goals: The Liaison will provide support to educators and parents to accomplish the goals of the Title I Federal Programs and will report to the Federal Programs Director. This will include but is not limited to: managing a network of school volunteers, organize parent and community engagement events, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of high school diploma or TASC Pass a background check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to analyze tasks that need to be done and proceed with a plan Able to work independently and manage time wisely Demonstrate ability to work with parents and school personnel Computer literate; able to communicate via email Model appropriate behavior and appearance Available to work flexible hours to meet the needs of families Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration Satisfactory references concerning past performance Satisfactory past evaluations Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate parent trainings to meet Title I/ESSERF requirements Assist with the implementation of an effective parent involvement program Attend trainings to learn how to assist parents in working with their own children Serve as a liaison for families with school and community agencies as needed Develop knowledge of community agencies and resources which provide services for families Use effective oral and written communication skills Provide reports, data, and payroll forms in a timely manner as requested Organize and coordinate a school volunteer program to include read aloud, tutoring, mentoring, etc. Work with the Principal to schedule hours to maximize support for parents; some work will occur off campus Coordinate with principal to organize community engagement events.
