Job Overview The Facilitator/Teacher - Parent Division serves as an educator, mentor, and community advocate responsible for delivering Be Strong Internationals parent and family strengthening programs. This role facilitates evidence-based curriculum, engages participants through interactive learning experiences, and supports families in achieving positive outcomes through education, referrals, and community resources.
The Facilitator/Teacher works closely with participants, Program Managers, Case Managers, schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality program implementation, participant engagement, and compliance with agency and funder requirements. The ideal candidate is an engaging public speaker, effective educator, and relationship builder who is passionate about strengthening families and empowering parents through practical life and relationship skills.

Program Facilitation & Participant EngagementFacilitate high-quality parent education workshops using approved curriculum and instructional methods while maintaining a participant satisfaction rate of 90% or higher and achieving established attendance goals. Participant Recruitment & RetentionActively recruit participants through community outreach, partnerships, and referrals, meeting or exceeding enrollment and retention goals established by the Program Manager. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate participant records, assessments, sign-in sheets, and required documentation, ensuring 100% compliance with funder and agency reporting requirements and submission deadlines. Community Outreach & Partnership DevelopmentBuild and maintain positive relationships with schools, community organizations, referral partners, and stakeholders to increase program awareness, participation, and community impact. Program Operations & CoordinationCoordinate workshop logistics, participant support services, program activities, field trips, and completion ceremonies while ensuring smooth program delivery and adherence to agency standards.
Additional Responsibilities and Duties
Facilitate mandated curricula as outlined in agency contracts and program requirements. Research, gather, develop, and enhance lessons, activities, and curriculum content appropriate for the target population. Maintain curriculum fidelity and adhere to agency-wide training requirements. Coordinate participant support services, including childcare, meals, transportation assistance, and incentives, in collaboration with the Program Manager and Case Manager. Assist in planning and coordinating workshops, orientations, field trips, completion ceremonies, and special events. Administer, collect, and submit participant assessments, surveys, evaluations, and outcome measures. Collect, review, and submit participant intake forms, attendance records, sign-in sheets, and other required documentation. Ensure all participant documentation is completed accurately, submitted on time, and maintained according to agency policies. Identify participant needs and provide referrals to Case Managers or community resources as appropriate. Provide educational support and encourage participant engagement throughout the duration of the program. Assist with subcontractor coordination and invoice collection, review, and submission according to agency procedures. Maintain regular communication with participants, community partners, and internal staff through phone, email, and agency management systems. Support quarterly workshops, community events, outreach activities, and program initiatives. Provide documentation and participant records to the Data Team for reporting purposes. Monitor participant progress and contribute to outcome tracking and program evaluation efforts. Attend all required staff meetings, agency events, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Represent Be Strong International professionally at all times within the community. Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, funder, and organizational requirements. Complete all required trainings before established deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors degree in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Human Services, Social Work, Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience facilitating workshops, teaching, training, coaching, or presenting educational content. Experience in public speaking, classroom instruction, or group facilitation. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and participant engagement strategies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to learn and utilize new software programs and technology platforms. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment. Reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and acceptable driving record required. Ability to travel throughout Miami-Dade County and other assigned service areas. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, overnights, and out-of-state travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching certificate or educational license preferred. Experience working with families, parents, youth, or community-based programs. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred. Experience with community outreach, partnership development, or participant recruitment. Knowledge of healthy relationships, family strengthening, or life skills education.
