Job Description
Under the supervision of a Parks Supervisor, provides general winter labor at Pigeon Creek Lodge located in West Olive, MI. The employee, working as part of a team, will provide customer service including fee collection for ski rental and food concessions during winter operations.
The employee will be responsible for the cleaning of public areas (e.g., litter pickup, trash removal, cleaning walks, and parking lots, snow removal), restrooms, hallways, kitchen areas, and fireplace(s) in Pigeon Creek Lodge. Employee may be scheduled for group/school rental events. Enforces the established rules of the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Department based on specific guidelines. This position is seasonal/part-time and is limited-benefit. The Park Attendant is not to exceed 1,000 working hours per year. Please note: schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Winter working hours are primarily part-time but can be up 40 hours per week but will vary as lodge operations are dependent on snowfall and other weather factors. We are able and willing to work with flexible schedules specifically for those who currently work other jobs or are enrolled in school.

Required Education, Training and Experience
Must be 16 years of age or older; graduation from high school or GED preferred. Applicants under the age of 18 must be able to provide a work permit, which requires permission from a parent or legal guardian.

While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently exposed to solvents, detergents, disinfectants; other cleaning compounds; mold, dust, pollen, dirt and human wastes; and inclement weather. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other disease vectors is also possible.
Must be available for day, evening, weekend, and holiday duty.
