The City & Borough of Juneau, Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to Join the team!

We are looking for people who share our enthusiasm for public service by providing safe, clean and fun public spaces for recreation. Our most successful park maintenance workers have a unique combination of skills and traits including good customer service, an eye for detail and an ability to follow direction and work independently. You should also enjoy doing physical labor outdoors in all types of weather, working with your hands and learning new things.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This position works from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 5 days a week. We have staff on 7 days a week so your weekend may not fall on Saturday and Sunday. The position may start at the Dimond Park shop in the valley or the Douglas shop at Savikko park.
Typical Responsibilities
A Park Maintenance workers tasks vary greatly from day to day. Some days you may work on projects as part of a team and other days you may be given a list of tasks to complete independently.
DESCRIPTION OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Under the immediate supervision of a Crew Leader, Park Maintenance Workers, perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work in the cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of CBJ parks, playgrounds, sports fields, courts and recreational areas. If selected for this position you will:

Other: Not less than 18 years of age
A valid Drivers License at time of appointment and for continued employment
