Reviews applications for and issues a wide variety of park use permits on a substantially full time basis; and performs other related duties as required.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This class differs from that of the Park Permits Clerk II in that the Park Permits Clerk I is representative of the journey level encompassing the performance of specialized clerical work involving extensive public contact in explaining procedures and requirements for obtaining various park use permits; whereas, the Park Permits Clerk II is representative of the senior level and encompasses (1) assisting in the issuance of commercial ocean and related park use permits which involve significant follow-up and tracking during the permit process; generates the financial reconciliation and monies handling of all the parks permits and is assigned to be the departmental contact for the software application(s) used in the park permitting system; and/or (2) supervises and participates in performance of the duties reflective of the Park Permit Clerk I.Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
