Job Description:

In this role, you will answer, screen, and resolve non-emergent phone calls to support the activities of the Parking Enforcement Officers in the field.

Examples of Duties:

  • Answers and screens call, transferring emergency calls to Consolidated 911 Center.
  • Resolves non-emergent calls by reviewing records, providing appropriate information, and responding to citizen questions and concerns.
  • Generates calls for service using a Computer Aided Dispatch system to dispatch and communicate with Parking Enforcement Officers.
  • Coordinates with Parking Enforcement Officers to contact tow trucks.
  • Monitors street sweeping of parked cars.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to complete SLED Security Awareness Training and NCIC 16 Hour Inquiry Course and obtain certification within first week of employment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year related professional experience.
  • Familiarity with computer aided dispatch (CAD) and/or Law Enforcement Message Switch (LEMS) systems preferred.

Other Necessary Requirements:

  • May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the Citys needs.
