Position Information

Position Title: Parking Enforcement Officer Requisition Number: H00185P Position Category: Hourly Campus Location: Weber State University - Ogden, UT

Position Details

Position Summary: Individuals will enforce parking rules and regulations through the issuance of parking citations, including vehicle immobilization. Enforcement personnel are responsible for special event parking, including football and basketball games, as well as other events hosted by the university. Applicants must be able to work some nights and weekends as events demand.

Parking is enforced Monday through Friday, split primarily between three shifts:

  • 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Parking is enforced in all weather conditions. This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire, and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent • Selected applicants must have the ability to obtain a valid drivers license • Ability to operate a handheld ticket writing machine • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in confrontational situations • Ability to work with diverse and at times difficult clientele

Physical Requirements of this position: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls requiring exertion of forces greater than sedentary work. Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements, including color depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing using a computer terminal, extensive reading.
