Parking Manager (Contract – 2–3 Month Assignment)

  • Location: Norfolk, VA
  • Job Type: Contract (2–3 months)
  • Pay: $27.36/hour

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Parking Manager to lead a high-volume parking operations program on a short-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in customer service, revenue operations, and large team management.

You will oversee daily parking operations, lead a team of supervisors, and drive initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of parking garages and surface lots
  • Lead and supervise a team including 8 supervisors and 20+ total staff
  • Ensure efficient staffing, scheduling, and operational readiness
  • Oversee revenue collection, reporting, and compliance with financial controls
  • Provide leadership in employee development, coaching, evaluations, and discipline
  • Participate in and support special event parking planning and execution
  • Address customer issues and complaints while maintaining policy standards
  • Review and prepare operational and financial reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams, merchants, transportation, and public safety partners
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellence

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ employees
  • Experience working in a customer service and/or revenue-driven environment

Preferred

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in cash handling, revenue collection, or operations
  • Background in parking, facilities, logistics, or similar environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with reporting, performance management, and process improvement
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume operations
