Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. A minimum of five to nine years of progressively responsible experience in business or public administration, in the fields of budgeting and financial management or general administration, to include supervisory experience is required.

This is a senior leadership role serving as second-in-command to the Assistant Director of Performance Excellence, with department-wide responsibility for overseeing and supporting the financial management, budget development, preparation and submission, and strategic business planning functions of the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS) Department. The position provides executive-level direction and coordination to ensure these critical business functions are effectively managed, aligned with departmental priorities, and fully responsive to County requirements and organizational objectives.

The incumbent in this position will provide financial management, budget development and administration, and organizational business planning for the department, while also offering executive leadership and supervisory oversight for these core business functions. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent will utilize strong financial and analytical skills, apply strategic decision-making, and exercise organizational and personnel leadership. This role also entails advising and collaborating with departmental executives, senior County leadership, and external stakeholders on complex financial, budgetary, and business matters.
