Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Park & Recreation Management or related field. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional administrative experience to include supervisory experience in event management, strategic partnership agency coordination, or public speaking is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver s license. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays on a varying schedule.

The PROS Manager, Special Events & Production Services will play a critical leadership role in directing the planning, coordination, and delivery of approximately 250 departmental special events and production services throughout county parks and recreational facilities. Key responsibilities include supervising the special events and production services team, managing the department's comprehensive event calendar, developing and implementing standard operating procedures and event planning protocols, and overseeing staging, sound, and production services. The position also coordinates with park management, public safety agencies, vendors, contractors, community organizations, and elected officials to ensure events meet safety, accessibility, regulatory, operational, and fiscal requirements. The Manager is responsible for monitoring revenues and expenditures, managing equipment and resources, evaluating program performance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
