Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces Security Officer

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. One year of experience in park and recreation services, security/protective services, or military or civilian law enforcement are required. Must possess a Driver license. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays on a varying work schedule.

Recruitment Notes

This position provides security for marina wet slip areas, the boat ramp, park areas, and more. In addition to security duties, the role includes providing customer service and assistance to patrons visiting the facility. From this recruitment, positions in various locations throughout Miami‑Dade County will be hired. Please note that incumbents assigned to Haulover Park must be comfortable working in a clothing‑optional beach area.
