The Parks Seasonal Maintenance Worker assists with the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of public parks and recreation areas. This position supports full-time staff in maintaining park grounds, facilities, and equipment to ensure a clean, welcoming environment for the community. Work four ten (10) hour days per week and have a three day weekend every week. Work 40 hours per week, spring, summer and fall.
Essential Job Duties
- Mow lawns, trim grass, and maintain landscaped areas
- Pick up litter and empty trash and recycling receptacle
- Assist with planting, mulching, pruning, and general landscaping
- Clean and maintain park facilities such as restrooms, shelters, and playgrounds
- Perform minor repairs on park equipment, benches, and signage
- Set up and take down equipment for events and programs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely
- Follow all safety guidelines and departmental procedures

Position Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Previous maintenance, landscaping, or parks experience is a plus but not required
