Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Working alone, with Clean Line Operator, or by instructions from Group Leader, determines order of product to rack or unrack.
  • Assesses size of product, center of gravity, and quantity, determines how many baskets or racks will be required to handle product.
  • Loads product into wash baskets by hand, taking care not to damage critical features and that no fluid will be trapped inside. Uses rack bars, plastic mesh, and foam to separate and position parts in baskets or boxes.
  • Unloads racks, placing product into suitable container for next operation. May use wire baskets or boxes with paper/cardboard dividers for outside vendors to protect parts from damage.
  • Assists Clean Line Operator by staging work in proper areas and moving completed work to shipping or where next operation is located.
  • Drains oil from drip pan carts into collection tank and uses floor scrubber to scrub and vacuum floor to pick up oil/liquid.
  • Assists with tank change operations requiring PPE and Confined Space requirements. May assist in tank filtering or filter change once trained in regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to push and pull heavy carts to proper area in building, lifting and positioning of possibly awkward shapes and sizes, and ability to stand on feet for long periods is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve racking issues to maximize pieces in wash basket or rack.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or training on cleaning processes and chemicals used.
  • Willingness to use PPE when required.
  • Must maintain a positive working relationship with department members and all others

Additional Requirements:

  • Forklift certification if required.
