Position: Part-Time Special Education Tutor - 2026/2027 School Year

Location: Boardman Center Intermediate School

Hours: 9:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., not to exceed 29 hours per week

Rate: $22.00 per hour with a valid Teaching License

$20.00 per hour with a valid Educational Aide Permit

Job Description: Center Intermediate School - Special Education Tutor

• Provide small-group and individual academic interventions aligned to student needs and intervention plans.
• Support implementation of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions in reading, math, writing, behavior, and/or executive functioning skills.
• Work under the supervision and direction of a licensed intervention specialist to implement instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Assist with progress monitoring and collection of student performance data.
• Reinforce classroom instruction and support students in accessing grade-level curriculum.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, counselors, and administrators regarding student progress and needs.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and intervention resources.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities as assigned.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration or supervising intervention specials.
